What a chart is trying to show
A price chart plots price against time for a chosen window (for example, one day per candle). The picture describes history. It does not predict the next move.
One candle = four numbers
| Part | Plain meaning |
|---|---|
| Open | First trade (or print) in that window. |
| High | Highest print in that window. |
| Low | Lowest print in that window. |
| Close | Last print in that window. |
Body vs wick/shadow language is shorthand for how much of the window’s range sat between open and close. Learning the words is literacy — not a signal.
