Forex: pips and pairs
Education only — not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. Practice desks use FAKE MONEY.
Pairs
FX is quoted as a currency pair (base / quote). EURUSD = euros in US dollars. Buying the pair (edu) means long the base vs the quote in the simulation.
Pips
A pip is a standardized small increment — often 0.0001 for many pairs, and 0.01 for USDJPY. Pip value depends on lot size; the forex desk uses educational constants so you can practice reading P&L in pips.
Lots & margin (edu)
Practice tickets size in lots. Educational margin is reserved from fake cash — not a bank FX line. Marks are schematic / labeled Source + Delay.
